Ekiti State House of Assembly has felicitated Christians in the State at Christmas.
In a press statement made available to the press in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman House Committee on Media and Publicity, Hon Yemisi Ayokunle, the Assembly admonished Christians in the state to imbibe the virtues of the Lord, Jesus
Christ, as they celebrate this year’s Christmas.
The statement said the most profitable way Christmas could be celebrated was to imbibe the virtues of humility, love,
worship and giving that Jesus, whose birthday was being celebrated, was known for.
It enjoined Christians in the state to use the occasion to pray for further unity and progress of Ekiti State, most especially that the forthcoming year is an election year in the state.
The statement also urged Christians to keep praying and support the Dr Fayemi led government towards sustaining the present developmental strides been witnessed in the state.
“Once again, on behalf of the entire Ekiti State House of Assembly, we felicitate with you on witnessing yet another Yuletide. We pray that the peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ will not depart your homes, our state and the entire nation, the statement concluded.
