EFCC arraigns former Aviation Minister in court.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode before Justice Oluwabunmi Abike-Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos .
He was arraignsed on 12 counts bordering on use of false documents, fabricated evidence and procuring execution of documents by false pretence.
Fani-Kayode pleaded not guilty after the charges were read to him.Justice Abike-Fadipe, he was , admitted to bail in the sum of N5 million, with one surety in like sum who must be based in Lagos.
He was further ordered to file an undertaking to attend his trial. The former Aviation Minister is equally facing three other criminal charges preferred against him by the EFCC – two at the Federal High Court, Abuja and one at the Federal High Court, Lagos.
The case has been adjourned till February 4, 2022, for ruling on pending application challenging jurisdiction.
