5 & 6th Convocation: FUOYE to To Confer On eminent Nigerians Honorary Degree Awards

The Federal University Oye Ekiti FUOYE, is set to convoke two thousand,five hundred and eighty seven graduating students of the University in the fifth and sixth combined convocation ceremony and investiture of the Chancellor of the institution.

The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Abayomi Fasina gave the indication while reeling out the activities marking the the ceremony which will also feature the investiture of the institution Chancellor.

The vice Chancellor said out of the number,thirty five are Postgraduate,three PhD and twenty seven Masters degree student

He said Eighty eight students made First class upper ,eight hundred and eighty students made Second class upper and One thousand and nine made Second class lower ,three hundred and nine finished with Third class lower while only one made Pass.

The Vice Chancellor noted that the 3rd University Inaugural Lecture will be delivered by
Professor J. Shola Omotola of theFaculty of Science on Tuesday 14th,while Wednesday the 15th the 4th University Inaugural Lecthure will be delivered by Prof. (Mrs.) Mojisola A. Oyarekua of the
Facully of Science.

Professor Fasina added that the weeklong event aside the inaugural lectures and other lined up activities,the convocation will feature confirment of honounary Doctorate degree award on three eminent Nigerians.

“Investiture and Award of Honorary Doctor of Leters Degree on the Chancelor,Alh. Matthew M. Opaluwa Oguche,
Altah lgalaland, Dr. Nuru Yakubu (Fomer Executive Secretay, NBTE)
Mrs. Victoria A. Samson
(MD &Founder, Bovas & Co. Ltd” Award of Degrees (Postgraduates and Graduates).
These will come up on Saturday 18th December,2021 at the school premises.

The Vice Chancellor also hinted that the institution will continue to reward and honour hard work by students and members of staff.
