Senate Concludes debate on 2022 appropriations bill

Senate has passed the 2022 appropriations bill for second reading with emphasis on the expansion of railway lines across states, improved revenue generation and adequate remittances into government coffers.
The second day debate witnessed more observations on the provisions of the budget.
Creation of more employment opportunities with the proposed loans and improved legislative oversight on  budgets by the National Assembly were some of the recommendations from the Senators.
The Climate Change Bill sponsored by Representative  Samuel Onuigbo received Concurrence in the Senate.
Senate has confirmed the Nomination of Amaechi Nwoha as Commissioner representing the South East in the National Assembly Service Commission.
Senate has adjourned plenary to  9th of November 2021 enable standing  committees carry out  budget defence.
