NDLEA apprehends Wanted drug dealer.

The National Drug Law enforcement agency has apprehended A major drug dealer wanted for attempting to export 69.65kilograms of cocaine, heroin and cannabis to the United Kingdom through the NAHCO export shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos.

The suspect was arrested at a church in Ojodu, Ikeja area of Lagos state on Thursday, 12th August, 2021.

In the same vein, NDLEA operatives at the Lagos airport arrested an Italy-bound passenger during the outward clearance of passengers on Ethiopian Airways flight to Italy via Addis-Ababa for ingesting illicit drugs which the suspect under observation excreted 68 wraps of heroin weighing 800grams.

Other illicit substances intercepted by narcotic officers at the Lagos airport include 1.660 kilograms of Methamphetamine concealed in bolts and locally made footwears going to Australia, 1 kilogram of cocaine coming from Ghana with UK as destination and arrest of south African returnee with 58 grams of skunk.

Meanwhile, at least 2,504.8 kilograms of diverse illicit drugs were seized from multiple suspects in the past week.
The illicit substances are cannabis sativa, tramadol capsules, Rohypnol and codeine syrups among others.
