DSS BRINGS IGBOHO’S ASSOCIATES TO COURT

IN OBEDIENCE TO THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT ABUJA ORDER FOR THE ENFORCEMENT OF THEIR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS, THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE SERVICES HAS PRODUCED EIGHT ASSOCIATES OF THE ACCLAIMED YORUBA NATION AGITATOR, SUNDAY IGBOHO IN COURT.

THE APPLICANTS ARE AMONG 12 INDIVIDUALS WHO FILED A SUIT CHALLENGING THEIR ARREST AND DETENTION, BY THE DSS AT SUNDAY IGBOHO’S RESIDENCE IN IBADAN.

AT THE MONDAY’S HEARING COUNSEL TO THE PLANTIFFS PRAYED FOR LEAVE OF COURT TO AMEND THEIR NAMES.
SINCE COUNSEL TO THE DSS DID NOT OPPOSE THE MOTION, THE COURT GRANTED IT AND ADJOURNED THE MATTER TO WEDNESDAY.

THE AIDES WERE ARRESTED WHEN DSS OFFICIALS RAIDED RHE HOME OF IGBOHO IN JULY 1, AND THEY HOWEVER SUED THE DSS ON THE GRONDS THAT THEIR FUNDERMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS WERE BEING INFRINGED UPON.
