Egypt emerges champions of African minifootball Nations Cup 2021

Egypt has emerged the champions of the second African minifootball Nations Cup 2021 after beating neighbours, Libya by one goal to nil on Saturday evening in Ilaji, Ibadan Oyo state.

It was a goalless draw at the regulation times before Adel Mohammed struck in extra time hand Egypt a hard-won victory.

Libya’s Mohammed Khamies won the tournament’s best player award, Egypt’s Ali Elsayeed won the best goalkeeper award, Nigeria’s Kabiru Adeniyi won highest goal scorer award with seven goals while Ghana captain, Bernard Sarfo,carted away best goal award.

Egypt, Libya, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria who beat Zambia in a play off, will represent the continent in the minifootball world cup in 2022
