EKITI UNITED SUES FOR PEACE OVER FA IMBROGLIO, COURT CASE,AS FOOTBALL STAKEHOLDERS ADVOCATE NFF INTERVENTION.

The management of Ekiti United football club has called on all warring factions in the State Football Association matters to sheathe their sword in the interest of the present development of football that is being witnessed and anticipated.

This is contained in a statement by the Secretary of the football club,Ayodeji Olowolafe on behalf the Management.

The statement states that it is unfortunate that football matters which are ordinarily settled amicably and at the worst case scenario taken before the court of Arbitration for Sports is now being attended to by the court of law.

“This ugly trend will not only draw the game of football backward, but it would surely affect the glorious ending of the NNL 2021 season by our darling Ekiti United fc.”

While the team management is not pitching tent nor taking side, Ekiti United as a team wishes to reiterate the need for all major stakeholders in sports to put things in the right perspective in the interest of the game.

Both parties involved are also urged to prioritize the future of football as it affects the up and coming football players ahead of their personal interest.

As a team, Ekiti United fc will continue to be an unbiased arbiter and observe with the hope that the dust will settle in no distant time and we will all enjoy the game we love so dearly once again without any hitch.

Meanwhile,the Chairman football stakeholders in Ekiti State Gabriel Adetule,and a member Chief jide oyedele have called for genuine intervention of the Nigeria football Governing body, Nigeria football federation towards addressing the lingering challenges bedeviling football system in the state.

The stakeholders described as unfortunate the current situation saying several efforts to address the situation in the past yielded no results saying whatever could have negative impacts on the state football sector should be looked into through due process.
