Governor Bello Mohammad of Zamfara State has relieved all Special Advisers of their appointments with the exception of the Special Adviser on Security matters.
This is contained in a Statement signed by Acting Secretary to Zamfara State Government, Kabiru Balarabe.
The statement says the decision which takes immediate effect is in line with the Governor’s recent defection to the APC and to allow for an in-depth search of more but competent hands to steer the affairs of the State, irrespective of political affiliations.
Accordingly, all the affected Special Advisers have been directed to hand over affairs of the respective offices, and Government property under their custody to the Directors General or Accounting officers of the Directorates.
The Governor appreciates the contributions given by the outgoing Political Appointees in running the affairs of the State while in office.
It would be recalled that Governor Muhammad has since on 1st June, 2021 dissolved the Zamfara State Executive Council, Boards and Commissions, and are yet to be reconstituted
