JAMB approves extension for candidates with genuine proof .

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says only those with genuine proof will be granted an extension as there will be no general extension of registration closing date for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the Direct Entry (DE).

While noting that some excuses are authentic,The board said a large number of others were caused by fraudsters working against the system and assures that another opportunity will be given to those who have genuinely tried to register but had challenge.
It will be recalled that factors such as late or non-delivery of National Identity Number (NIN) verification code; inability to obtain NIN; mismatch or wrong names originally submitted to National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Made JAMB shift the closing date of registration from 15th to 29th of may.
The board however advise, all prospective candidates with genuine proof(s) of failed efforts to register before the closing date, to visit any of JAMB’s offices for reconciliation between Monday, May 31, and June 15.
