President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria is committed to deepening and expanding collaboration with Zambia in the greater interest of their people and economies.
The President stated this while receiving a Special Envoy of his Zambian counterpart Edgar Chagwa Lungu.
He said Nigeria and Zambia stand to benefit from each other if further areas of collaboration are in critical economic sectors.
The President explained that doing so will also impact positively on the African continent.
The Special Envoy, Joseph Malanji, who is Zambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, thanked Nigeria for her big brother role in ECOWAS and the African continent.
He said whenever the strong strengthens the weak, equity has been exemplified.
The Envoy told President Buhari that the Zambian leader is desirous of stronger bilateral relations with Nigeria as well as greater impetus for the Joint Commission of Cooperation between the two countries.
