The league of lmams and Alfas in the South West , Nigeria, has raised concern over the state of insecurity threatening peace in the various parts of the country and wants government to step up efforts at addressing the challenges.
The league of lmams and Alfas body, rising from it’s south West meeting in lbadan Oyo state,on Thursday April 1, expressed concern about the spate of insecurity ravaging the nation and said this has no doubt continued to raise concern among people.
The lslamic body prayed to God for divine intervention to end the challenges and restore peace back to the country.
The President General league of lmams and Alfas in the South West ,Edo and Delta State Alhaji Jamiu Kewulere who led other lmams in the South West states at the meeting wants government to evolve measures that would put an end to the spate of insecurity of various forms and prayed to God to put and the spate of insurgence, killing, banditaries among other forms of insecurity in the country.
The league of lmams acknowledged the efforts of Government at controlling the spread of coronavirus and its ravaging effects and prayed for God’s intervention to heal the Nation and put an end to the pandemic.
The body also prayed for president Mohammadu Buhari and all the Governors in the South West
