In a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti by the Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Publicity, Hon. Yemisi Ayokunle, expressed grief over the death of the late politician, who served as Commissioner in the old Ondo State and was also a Minister of the Federal republic of Nigeria.
Ayokunle described the late Olowoporoku as a cerebral politician whose sagacity will be greatly missed.
She noted the immense contributions of the astute politician and elder statesman to the creation of Ekiti State, adding that the hardwork, diligence and foresight of late Olowoporoku and some of his peers in the struggle for the creation of the State led to the actualization of the dream.
Ayokunle expressed condolence to the family of the deceased, Ilawe Ekiti community, as well as the government and entire people of the State for the loss of a great son of the State.
She prayed that God will grant his family and all affected people the fortitude to bear the loss.
