Director General, World Trade Organisation Okonjo-Iweala assures Nigeria of support

The Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala,has said Nigeria will
be supported to meet up with the infrastructure gap affecting it through the initiative and intervention of the world trade organisation.
While on visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama and his delegation the
newly appointed WTO DG lauded the Minister for his role in contributing to her success in her race for the WTO DG seat.
she appreciated the Ministry
and Nigerians in general for their support in the WTO race saying thae worked to make sure that this happens.
The WTO Director General, Okonjo-Iweala also appreciated young Nigerians who she said were always on social media cheering her on saying this was a crucial encouragement in the ‘tough race’.
Okonjo-Iweala,the first woman and first African to lead the international body, began her term on March 1 and would last until the next four years.
