Ekiti state police command has solicited the support of the members of the public to nip in the bud, the menace of crimes and criminalities in the State. The commissioner of police, Tunde Mobayo made the call at a security stakeholders meeting in ekiti central senatorial district held in ado Ekiti,the State capital. The meeting was part of the means to synergise with the various stakeholders in the three senatorial district of the state to find lasting solutions to farmers and herdsmen clashes, kidnapping, killing and other insecurity challenges in the state. With convergence of representatives of famers ,herdsmen, traditional rulers and other key players,the commissioner of police Tunde Mobayo apt on the importance of the community policing and security counciousness to collectively fight crimes in the state. The commissioner said the meeting is aim at having maximum security in the state, and create a synergy with all Stakeholders and other security agencies to identity the cause of insecurity and jointly find lasting solutions. Representaves of farmers, herdsmen, traditional rulers, local Hurters and other concerned stakeholders, advocate collective efforts to check the meance of killing and clashes among the farmers and herders as well as other insecurity. They expressed readiness to support police to secure the state for the intrest of all. The police boss promised harmonise their submissions for proper action with an assurance of protecting the live and property of ekiti people.
