EKITI WORKERS COMMENDS Fayemi over 6 months maternity leave

Civil Servants in Ekiti State have commended Governor Kayode Fayemi over the approval of six months maternity leave for workers in Ekiti state.
The civil servants told NTA News that the development have impacts on motherhood and service delivery.
Acccording to them the Governors step is aimed at enhancing maternal health and encouraging nursing mothers to observe the six months exclusive breast feeding campaign of the united nations intervention children’s emergency fund UNICEF.
While appreciating the Governor, other residents of Ado Ekiti described the Six Month Maternity leave for Pregnant and expectant mother’s in Ekiti State Civil Service as a welcome development.
Medical Experts also believed that the six months leave will enhance exclusive breast feeding that would reduce the rate of infant and maternal mortality as well as facilitate work life balance for female workers in the state.
